In anticipation of Shavuot, the Couples Division of Emet Outreach hosted a workshop to help couples appreciate the connection between Matan Torah and marriage. Held at the Young Israel of Jamaica Estates, the event drew 50 people who were eager to participate in this latest installment of monthly relationship-oriented lectures.

Chazaq proudly hosted a momentous event featuring the esteemed Kaliver Rebbe shlita, the son of the revered tzadik, the Kaliver Rebbe shlita. The event took place on Sunday, May 21, at Congregation Charm Circle in Kew Gardens Hills, where the Rebbe had the privilege of meeting with numerous individuals and families to impart invaluable advice and bestow blessings on behalf of the esteemed Rebbe.

Vaad Harabbonim of Queens held an very successful legislative event last Sunday afternoon, May 23, at Shimi Pelman’s Union Plaza Care Center in Flushing. The program drew dozens of Queens County rabbis and Jewish communal professionals, thanks in large part to the outreach of Rabbi Avraham Hecht, Executive Director of Project Lead. For two and half hours, the contingent fought back on anti-Semitism and encouraged others to be cognizant of the world where we live. The event was designed as a means for newer Queens rabbonim to meet our elected officials and learn of potential resources available at their disposal.

The Daughters of the American Revolution made and donated blankets and wraps for veterans. Gary Glick, New York State Commander for The Jewish War Veterans Post 652, picked up the donations. The blankets and wraps were delivered to veterans in the Long Island State Veterans Home in Stonybrook.
