Self-care events are legendary at Central: Students look forward to the chance to take a breath and a moment for themselves, in a school year containing stressors and tests of all kinds, both in and out of the classroom.
This past Shabbos, the MTA Class of 2027 experienced a Freshman retreat like no other. Themed “Shabbos Unites Us,” the entire program revolved around creating a greater sense of achdus within the grade, and a greater sense of connection to klal Yisrael in general. To that end, the MTA freshman, their senior Cubs2Lions mentors, and rebbeim joined together to share a special Shabbos at Camp Nageela.
Talya Shalamoff, Elisheva Schutzman, Ysrael Gherman, Aiden Olsen, and Associate Principal Mrs. Melissa Cohen had the opportunity to visit the White House and personally deliver thousands of letters of appreciation to President Biden and his administration for their unwavering support of Israel on Wednesday, October 18.
Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan was celebrated in Shevach High School with a morning that included T’hilim, inspiration, and introspection, coupled with a delicious breakfast for all the students.
Yeshiva Har Torah’s Parent-Teacher Association hosts an opening event every year, extending a warm welcome to new families and fostering a sense of unity within the school community. This year, the committee pivoted the program and invited parents, grandparents and teachers for an evening of solidarity in the wake of the tragedies that began in Israel over Shemini Atzeret.
