On Motza’ei Shabbos, February 28, the Beth Gavriel Community Center in Forest Hills hosted a well-attended evening devoted to one of the most vital foundations of Jewish life: building strong marriages and raising children in homes filled with shalom bayis. The program, titled “Parenting & Shalom Bayit Panel,” was organized jointly by Chazaq and Emet Outreach and brought together rabbanim, professionals, and community members for an open and practical conversation about the realities of marriage and parenting.

The much-anticipated 7th and 8th Grade Girls Shabbaton began at the beautiful Honors Haven Resort last Friday. Upon arrival, students spent the afternoon swimming and participating in exciting pre-Shabbat ruach with DJ Eli Arshadnia to welcome in Shabbat with singing and dancing. The energy continued throughout the evening.

As MTA welcomed Rosh Chodesh Adar with special programming in the building, the excitement continued well beyond the classroom this past Shabbos. Multiple shiurim took part in Shabbatonim across different communities, bringing the ruach of Adar directly into the homes and shuls of our talmidim.

The Middle School boys enjoyed a beautiful Tisch for Adar. They dressed up in their favorite jerseys and danced and sang with their rebbeim. The ruach and excitement was incredible!

The school’s annual Purim Carnival brought a lively and cheerful energy to campus, as students gathered to celebrate in true Purim spirit. The event was run by the 8th grade under the supervision of their G.O. advisor, Mrs. Etti Amar, who worked closely with the students as they planned and organized the day.

Thanks to the blizzard, this past school week was short, but the Yeshiva University High School for Girls (Central) made it count in every way. On Wednesday, February 25, YUHSG’s student-engineers braved the snow and ice to travel to the 8th annual city Hackathon, hosted by the Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education (CIJE) at Industry City in Brooklyn.
