Third-grade girls at Yeshiva Sha’arei Zion stepped into the role of young engineers when they designed and built working pinball machines out of shoeboxes. The hands-on project blended creativity with real science: As students constructed ramps, bumpers, and obstacles, they experimented with motion, gravity, and force in action.

Tu BiShvat was celebrated at Lev Chana and HALB with delicious fruit, planting activities, and – thanks to the PTA – a fun chocolate fountain for the elementary school to dip fruit in!

Bnos Malka Academy was pleased to welcome two special visitors to our school. Author, storyteller, and singer Meish Goldish visited our Pre-K, Pre-1A, and First Grade classes, delighting the students with his humor and engaging storytelling. His presentation focused on trees and fruits, connecting beautifully with the themes of Tu BiShvat. The children were amazed to learn that he has written over 500 books, and they were truly captivated throughout his visit. We look forward to welcoming him again.

Talmidim in grades 11 and 12 from the Business and Entrepreneurship class spent an immersive afternoon on Wall Street, turning classroom learning into a real-world experience. The visit gave students a front-row look at the history, energy, and impact of the financial district that helped shape modern markets.

The seventh grade girls at YHT went on a chesed trip to the JCCRP in Far Rockaway, where they helped unload cases of food that will be packed up and delivered to people in need. The girls were helpful and enthusiastic. The staff at JCCRP were very grateful for the help we provided and were impressed by the students!
