This is the 50-year anniversary of the landing on the moon on July 20, 1969. For those who grew up in the 1960s and remember the moon landing, they understand its significance. I am writing for everyone else.

Fifty years ago, there was such respect for the American flag that it was considered disrespectful to wear the flag on any clothing. Therefore, those who wanted to protest the Vietnam War and other “progressives” would wear clothing with the flag.
On June 18, the office of special counsel, which has nothing to do with Special Counsel Robert Mueller, sent a copy of its May 30 report recommending that Kellyanne Conway be terminated for repeated violations of the Hatch Act. Not surprisingly, the president rejected the request.
There is much to learn from the Democratic Primary results of June 25. Before I address the district attorney’s results, there was a race for civil court judge that warrants discussion. I have been practicing law for over 30 years and I cannot recall another time when there was a primary contest for a judicial position. Queens County Democratic Committee (County) would select a judge at its convention and it was a fait accompli (done deal) that the person would become judge.
There are many problems that are out there that need solutions. Like most problems, the problem is easier to diagnose than it is to find a solution. Therefore, when there are problems people like to search for easy solutions, and part of the solution is putting the blame on one group.
