There’s no question that the healthcare industry is one of the most important in the U.S. But does it deliver the high-quality service customers expect, or is it more interested in making profits? Some would argue that this, too, is not a question.

The world is experiencing truly momentous events, but that doesn’t mean that the smaller issues are insignificant.  One of these is blinding headlights.   

When we hear the word “war,” we think of bombs, missiles, and tanks—things that terrify people and can suddenly inflict total devastation. But war can also be waged in different ways, without armies or explosives. It may be so subtle that even someone at the center of it all could look around carefully and not realize a fierce conflict is underway. Some respected news and market commentators believe China is fighting just such a war right now, with the U.S. economy and high-tech stocks as its opponents.

Alphabet, the parent company of Google (the name many still call it), is best known for its search engine, but its incredible technology does not stop there.  The company is also a powerhouse in online advertising, cloud computing, quantum computing, AI, and numerous other Internet-related products.  

Have you ever had the feeling you’re being targeted?  Some people have, and were ridiculed for it.  But these days, this has become a real issue and needs to be taken seriously.  The fact is that countless people have been targeted, scammed, and, as a result, both they and their families have paid a very high price.   

Years ago, a longtime resident of Manhattan was baffled as to why numerous young people were moving there, despite the exorbitant rents they would have to pay.  Moreover, they could easily have rented larger apartments in the outer boroughs for less money.  One day, his curiosity got the better of him and he approached one of these young people.  “Excuse me,” he said. “Please tell me why so many young people want to live in Manhattan?  What’s so great about living there?”
