In the most disgusting and divisive move by a high-ranking elected official since Nancy Pelosi ripped up the State of the Union address, President Joe Biden draped the Pride Progress flag on the White House between two American flags during an event. Aside from the violations of the US Flag Code, the symbolism couldn’t be more direct: Pride has overcome and is now dividing America.

Of all the political platitudes that have been thrown around by people defending their own actions or attacking their opponents, the greatest lie of them all is “No one is above the law.” There are literally dozens of cities and several states that put a lot of effort into ensuring that there are plenty of people who are above the law. The nation as a whole has long accepted the fact that there are high-level politicians who are above the law. So, when the Biden DOJ emulates Peruvian communists from a century ago, claiming that “for my friends, everything; for my enemies, the law,” we have entered banana republic tyranny.

As reported in last week’s Queens Jewish Link, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib was at the forefront of an attempt to co-opt the 75th anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel to push revisionist history about the events that occurred immediately thereafter. Tlaib, working with radical anti-Israel and Jew-hating groups, was pushing a Nakba event in order to “educate” her fellow members of Congress on the pseudo-historical notion that all the problems that have befallen the Palestinian people in the last three quarters of a century are squarely because of the Jews.

After months of speculation, guesswork, and predictions, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has officially entered the race to become the Republican nominee for President in 2024. While DeSantis is still an underdog against former President Trump, he is far and away the only challenger, either declared or undeclared, that has a chance to get the nomination in the primary. For all intents and purposes, this is a two-man race between Trump and DeSantis, with all other contenders merely trailing and taking votes away from one or the other. Since they are competing for a job with us, the Republican Primary voter as the hiring manager, let’s compare resumes.

The monstrosity of a state budget passed a month after it was originally due, and it is seeking to not just run the state government, but actively interfere in the day to day lives of New Yorkers.  The budget, amounting to a massive $229.8 billion, represents a 3.7 percent increase from the previous year and a staggering 69 percent increase from a decade ago. The budget includes various components such as Medicaid, Covid relief funds, federal aid, and borrowed capital funds.  The part that’s garnering a lot of headlines, however, is the regulation against gas stoves.
