Yes, we all have our own subjective reality. Are you able to validate someone else’s, even if you don’t agree with them? If you’ve ever had someone dismiss or belittle your feelings, you know how invalidating that can be. You just poured your heart out, and there she is saying: “It could be worse.” Well, you know it could be a lot better, too. The truth is that if you find yourself the victim of other people’s bitterness or smallness, remember: Things could be worse. You could be them. But please do not say those words to someone suffering greatly. Offer empathy and compassion. Perspective and enlightenment will come in time.
At last, you summoned up the motivation to achieve your goals, but somewhere along the line your inspiration began to drift. Do you have any accountability for those aims? Hmmm. Did you give yourself a timeframe? Do you record or write them down anywhere or just ponder it in your pretty little head? Believe it or not, writing resolutions down actually makes them tangible and sets you up to accomplish them. Print it out. Post it somewhere – anywhere. I would write it down to help me remember; but there’s a good chance I’ll forget where I wrote it.
Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it. Some say that the meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose is to give it away. What say you? Humans are funny creatures. You can tell them that there are billions of stars in the universe, and they will believe you. Tell him that a bench has wet paint on it, and he’ll have to touch it to be sure.

Any trust you had has been permanently damaged. Hmm... They claim to have moral standards but their behavior doesn’t conform to any of them. Those double standards can enrage and exasperate us.
When was the last time you heard the little voice inside your head tell you that you are actually good? Perhaps you need to review events in your life to remind you of all the goodness therein. Do you spend a lot of time questioning your worthiness, or the quality of the contributions you make in this world?
Wow, she put a little extra “humble” in that humble pie for you today. Have you tried to make peace with yourself over past mistakes and mishaps? We’re all told that our slip-ups are learning experiences. But suppose they are weighing you down? In order to move on and grow, you may ultimately choose to forgive yourself. But how?
